3 1/8” l x 1” w x 1 1/4” t and in very good structural condition

which makes me think perhaps it was a manuscript illustration—and how I would love to see that manuscript if so

A sweet old carved creature whatever the case, I might guess German, but don't know for sure. Late 19th early 20th c. I would guess. 3" l measured on the square x 2 3 4" t x 1 1 8" w. Good condition, great patina.
