Lovely Antique Wood Whistle with Hand-carved Notes on Slide vintage puzzle in his slicker and greatFull disclosure I have tried to make this whistle sing, but haven't managed to get a full whistle out of it, though perhaps someone with a better aperture than I could achieve one. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful object beautifully carved form, with a terrific dark dry wood patina. Best of all, pulling out the slide reveals it was notched and carved with the notes of the scale, indicating which note would have been produced by pulling the slide out that
