Fine Antique Treen Puzzle Lid Snuff Box, Likely Sailor Made hand-sewn doll it fits neatly back togetherI've had a couple of snuff boxes with puzzle type lids like this one, which take a few steps to unlock and open, making whatever is held inside feel all the more precious! I am pretty certain the knobs and inlaid details on this one are carved of ivory, and it seems more likely than not sailor made, though I am not certain, nor am I 100% sure of the hardwood, which is dark, smooth, and really lovely. The interior of the box is lined in crimson red
