I've since learned that this bellhop was produced in conjunction with a Philip Morris cigarette advertising campaign launched in 1933

I did not pay a lot for this painting

which is still holding very tight

Lovely Antique Silk Covered Round Needlebook / Pin Keep prediction cards The blacks on the boneSuch a pretty little pin keep, I could not resist. Silk fabric hand sewn over cut rounds of card to make it still, with two little white wool "pages" sewn inside, found filled with needles. The perimeter of the rounds are intended usable for stick pins, with the interior intended for (longer, thicker) needles. Lovely. 2" d and in very good condition, with just a couple of tiny holes and a little stain to the striped green silk.
