Woodington Township, NC, 1896 R especially with those white cloudsI always have an eye out for hand drawn maps, but it is a rare and happy moment to find one with watercolor embellishment, and what a charmer, with big red and green compass rose star with pointing arrows and feathers, excellent inked handwriting, hand pointing to the corner of Lightwood Knot Road, and long hatched railroad, too! As detailed on reverse, it's a surveyors map, done by surveyor William A. Jones for Harvey F. Waller in 1896, showing a 24
