I think its pretty hard to argue with the greatness of these three

but this piece was backed with cloth so I do guess just meant to be a mat

would be part of the Union

Some minor surface cracking to the leather (detail photos shot at 2-3x maginification) and two very small eye shaped holes in the outer layer of the leather (not going all the way through) near the heel which I believe likely once housed additional small bone inlays

I think it is just the loveliest thing, with these marvelously patterned curtains (and best of all that soft orange swag) framing a graceful view of Mt. Fuji, orange sun rising from behind it and casting the most subtle of rays. With a few tiny tiny sailboats dotting the pale blue water, too. 5 1 2" x 3 1 2 and in very good
