though I'd probably treat them as little sculptures and line them up in a row

with carved reamer and turned handle terminating in a great fat rounded end

is really striking from a distance

but it seems that it could be re-wrapped tightly and resumed using the thread on the end

Beautifully Crafted Antique Carved Wood and Woven Ash Splint Chair blue and white swirl but I think it isOne sees doll chairs and benches in this manner around these parts from time to time usually referred to as Adirondack but I don't think I've ever seen one as lovely as perfectly aged as this one, which feels like pure sculpture to me. Late ish 19th century I believe, the frame of the chair was carved in pieces with tiny nails used to secure them where the pieces meet, with bent twigs for the sides and woven ash splint I believe for the back and seat.
