so I was pretty pleased to find this guy

Earlyish 20th century I'd guess and it looks hand-painted to me

which looks like more of a ghost than a person

which really set off the red of the boat itself

Nice Old Carved Wooden Boot pie tray About 10" in diameterI really like the form of this smallish carved boot, and especially the detailing mimicking eye holes down the front and nail holes on the soles. A nice balance of humble and elegant I think, and just a good one. 3 t x 3 3 4 l x 1 1 8 w and in very good condition, with a bit of cloudiness to the old varnished surface near the heel and on the sold, which I personally like.
