M agic: The Gathering was originally released by Wizards of the Coast in 1993 as a head-to-head competitive game, with two players building 60-card decks filled with spells, creatures, and artifacts designed to take their opponent from 20 to zero life as quickly as possible
If you can use Intimidate, though, you have a great creature
They still show up in: Superfriends decks that want more planeswalker density Themed Commander builds where style points matter Cube , where nostalgia and balance are friends again Casual story deck piles , where Garruk can finally be the jock he always wanted to be If youre buying them for play value alone, thats fine
While you do have to sacrifice an artifact as part of the casting cost, being able to place any artifact in your deck onto the battlefield for its mana value + 2 blue mana is incredibly strong, and can be useful during almost any part of a game
The cards ability will come into play sometimes, but its main value comes from that sweet +2 to devotion count
