There are a host of creatures that lock down an opposing permanent while they're in play, but those are a much easier card type to remove, so as much as I want to rank Auron, Venerated Guardian and Earth Kingdom Jailer, they really deserve separate consideration

Dropping this ensures that your stuff survives, and provides a nice little buff on the way out

Subverted in practice since it's usually played as a generic draw spell that's especially potent in the early turns of the game (where your opponent hasn't had a chance to empty their hand yet)

It remains to be seen whether or not this card will even be relevant in the Modern metagame once the dust settles
