As far as changes to make to the budget build of the deck now that we've played some games, I'm not sure there's really much to change

In the unusual case where Living Laser becomes a copy of something else while his triggered ability is on the stack but before it resolves, the tokens will enter as copies of whatever Living Laser is copying (with the listed exception)

Do you aim to win the turn it comes down to deny them its use, or just sacrifice it before your opponent untaps

As I mentioned before, the most powerful way to build Commander decks with MDFCs is to cut five or six lands (usually basic lands or other utility lands that tap for one color of mana) along with two or three spells and replace them with MDFCs so that you end up with something like 31 or 32 "real" lands but 40 or 41 total lands
