The fact that it has flash means that you will almost always be able to catch your opponents by surprise and draw at least 1 card, at which point it already feels like youve gotten your moneys worth

Scavenging Ooze has to be one of my favorite Standard creatures of all time, and while I think it's a nice reprint it feels outclassed compared to Tranquil Frillback, which can also deal with Artifacts or Enchantments

Either way, Rhys is a powerful Commander and allows you to splash into White for support cards such as Path to Exile and Smothering Tithe

That means you can be swinging in with commander damage and pinging down another opponent each turn a nice two-pronged attack
