There are two types of pharmacies permitted to compound drugs, known as 503a and 503b pharmacies
These include: nausea (reported by ~50% in some weight loss trials, ~20% in diabetes trials), diarrhea (~30% in weight loss trials, ~9% in diabetes trials), vomiting (~30% in weight loss trials, ~4.6% in diabetes trials), and constipation (~30% in weight loss trials, ~11% in diabetes trials)
Initially, it was only approved for diabetes management with the brand name Victoza
The absolute difference in liver fat content [LFC] was 4.7% (95% CI from 6.7 to 2.7), with a relative decrease in LFC from baseline of 35.9% and 28.4% for the two individual dosages ( p 40%, renal death, new onset of macroalbuminuria) strongly favored tirzepatide (HR 0.58, 95% CI from 0.43 to 0.80, p = 0.0008)
